Cornish Stained Glass was formed in 1993 when Cammille and Tony Robinson began producing a variety of stained glass items from their workshop in St Ives in Cornwall. They exhibited at a number of trade fairs in the West Country and became more and more well known.

They keep a stock of stained glass panels, lampshades, suncatchers and mirrors, but they specialise in producing bespoke items made to order. They include huge advertising panels, art deco effect mirrors, and a number of personalised items. They are happy to give free quotations for any customer who wants a traditionally made window, panel, mirror, or in fact almost anything.

All their work is hand made. None is bought in or imported. Much of the demand now is for glass pieces to be made in the "Tiffany" style, but some customers prefer to have their pieces made with real lead. Tony and Cammille are experts at designing and constructing new pieces, but also at repairing and renovation older stained glass items.

A few years ago, they had the opportunity to move to a larger home with a better workshop up in Cambridgeshire, not far from Wisbech. This also enabled them to spend more time with their family who live locally. They have developed their workshop to the point where they are now able to offer one-day courses in learning how to design and produce stained glass items. On these courses, everything is supplied; all the potential artist need bring is enthusiasm.

For people who have some artistic ability, but who do not want to travel to Wisbech, Cammille can arrange to come to their home and bring everything necessary to provide a day's tuition. To make this economically possible, it is normal to get a small group of friends, perhaps four, and then they can all enjoy the experience whilst getting a taste of the craft.
